The nature of these trips is such that most treks will go up to altitudes many of us have never been before. However, this is not something to be overly concerned about. Our treks are designed to allow for a proper progression of acclimatization as we gain altitude during the trip. Many people will experience a slight headache due to dehydration at first, but with proper hydration this small discomfort is short lived.

This type of trekking allows you to visit remote parts of Nepal, well off the beaten path, and help make a difference in local, rural villages. Any area of expertise you have, will be of assistance to these communities. They especially need help with education, women's health, women's rights/empowerment, agro-projects, cash crop growth, crop storage, sustainable development, and English language. While volunteering you will be staying with local families-learning the culture and teaching them about yours. This is the perfect way to give back and learn the real ways of Nepal.
Nepal's Electricity is 220 Volt and 50 MHZ (50 Cycles per Second). Electric Plug is two or three round prongs, but not flat prongs as found in use in the United States or in other countries. If your electronic uses 110 Volt 60 MHZ electricity, you will need a voltage converter.
We have heard that people visiting Nepal have had their hair driers blown up, lap tops fried and electric razer gone crazy! Voltage converters and plug adapters are available in stores near you or in shopping centers in Airport Terminals. Your hotel manager can also help you with this issue.
Nepal's electricity is not smooth. Voltage fluctuation is very common and it is advised that you use a robust power surge protector for your electronic.
