
The ANNAPURNA REGION’s in north western Nepal having the world’s best trekking routes. From the lake city of Pokhara, popular treks lead to Jomsom, Annapurna Base Camp, Mustang, Manang and around the Annapurna mountain. Short treks to Sikles and Ghandruk are just as popular.It’s a region of stunning diversity, ranging from the sodden bamboo forests of the southern slopes (Lumle, northwest of Pokhara, is the wettest village in Nepal) to windswept desert (Jomosom, in the northern rain shadow, is the driest).
The Annapurna Circuit: Annapurna Circuit is considered one of the best treks in the world. This Circuit - rightly known as Nepal's classic trek - offers more variety than any other equivalent length trek, taking us through virtually every type of scenery that Nepal has to offer.17 to 21 days long, this trek takes you through distinct regional scenery of rivers, flora, fauna and above all - mountains. The trek goes counter-clockwise from Besi sahar,off the Pokhara-Kathmandu Highway,to Naya Pool,and reaches at high point to an altitude of 5,416m on the Thorung La pass, touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau.There are superb views of the Manaslu,Annapurna II, Annapurna III and IV and Dhaulagiri and an amazing variety of landscapes ranging from sub-tropical through alpine peaks to an arid semi-desert akin to Tibet. Based in teahouses throughout, we also get to spend time in villages inhabited by many of Nepal's different peoples, both Buddhist and Hindu.
MUSTANG: Mustang ( from Tibetan Mun Tan (Wylie smon-thang) which means fertile plain ) is located north of Annapurna and at an average altitude of (3,749 m) is a popular destination for pilgrims and trekkers to this region . It is a holy sites for both Buddhists and Hindus.Now these days there is a motorable road from Muktinath to Beni, from where you can catch a bus to Pokhara. Also, you can catch a bus from Besi Sahar to Sanghe at the start of the trek.
Lo-Manthang in Upper Mustang is an extremely exotic destination too. The last king of Mustang still has his home at this ancient capital township. Many tourists visit Lo-Manthang during Teeji festival that is usually scheduled in the month of May. Being in the rain shadow area, Upper Mustang can be visited even during the rainy season. Upper Mustang falls in protected areas and one need special permit to visit the region.
MANANG: The trek in the eastern part follows the Marsyangdi River upstream till Manang, which is a string of seven villages that form the upper arc of the Annapurna Circuit Trekking Trail. The area is composed of stark, rocky terrain, very similar to the Tibetan plateau, and is dotted with turquoise lakes, including Lake Tilicho (4919 m), the world’s highest lake.Enriched and blessed with many stunningly beautiful mountains like Pisang peak, the Chulu range, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Kangaru Peak, Throng peak, Manang Valley trek always has been a great experience for those who have been there.

Spring | March to May | & Autumn | Sep to Nov |, is the best season to trek the Annapurna Region. The weather remains sunny and warm offering outstanding view of the Annapurna range through out your trek. The trek is also possible during the winter | Dec, Jan, Feb |, however harsh winter condition can lead to a bad experience. Like-wise the monsoon rain also causes difficulty during the trek between | Jun - Aug |.
